A boarding pass to a world of privileges

Singapore Airlines (SIA) and SilkAir passengers flying to Malaysia will be sure to hold tight to their boarding passes after disembarkation.

For they will get special offers on dining and entertainment, hotels, golf, shopping, leisure activities and tourist attractions under the Singapore Airlines Boarding Pass Privileges (BPP) Malaysia programme, launched by SIA and Tourism Malaysia.

Flyers need only present their Singapore Airline or SilkAir boarding pass (First, Business, Economy) within seven days of their flight at participating outlets to enjoy discounts of up to 50 per cent.

The boarding pass can be used for multiple times within the seven days, and customers can refer to singaporeair.com/boardingpass for more details.

"The BPP programme has proven itself to be a sustainable and successful programme. The attractiveness of BPP Malaysia can be enhanced with the winning formula of establishing a diverse network of Malaysian partners in providing tangible benefits to our customers," said Mr Huang Cheng Eng, Singapore Airlines Executive Vice President for Marketing and Regions in a media statement yesterday.

The BPP programme is one of several joint promotions by SIA and Tourism Malaysia, in conjunction with "Visit Malaysia 2007". Other initiatives include media and travel agent familiarisation trips from over 20 different overseas cities to destinations in Malaysia.

Malaysia targets to attract some 20.1 million visitors to its shores this year, and the SIA-Tourism Malaysia partnership will serve in marketing the various destinations.

"We are pleased with our partnership with Tourism Malaysia for these joint promotions. This serves to strengthen the BPP programme and promote traffic from around our network to our Malaysian gateways," said Mr Huang.
