Open house at Terminal 3

CHANGI Airport's new Terminal 3 will have an open house from Nov 12 to Dec 9.
Entry to the $1.75 billion facility will be free to members of the public, but they will have to buy tickets see the restricted areas.

Tickets will be available on the spot. They cost $3 each for a 45-minute guided tour and $1 if visitors want to roam around these areas on their own. Entry is free for children aged three.

The new terminal, which starts operation on Jan 9, is Changi's biggest, at 380,000 sq m. T2 covers 358,000 sq m, and T1, just over 280,000 sq m.

With the new facility, Changi will be able to handle about 70 million passengers a year, double last year's volume. Visiting hours during the open house are from 10am to 5pm on weekdays, and from 9am to 6pm on weekends.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore said on Monday that all proceeds from the sale of admission tickets will be donated to the Singapore Cancer Society.
