LOS ANGELES: British Airways not only lost supermodel Kate Moss' luggage containing prototypes for her fashion range, but it also misplaced a $10,000 (S$26,810) birthday present for one of the star's pals, The Sun newspaper reported.
The British tabloid said this week that on Moss' arrival at Los Angeles Airport on a flight from London about two weeks ago, it was discovered eight pieces of her Louis Vuitton luggage had disappeared at Heathrow's new Terminal 5 building.
British Airways has offered her 10,000 pounds (S$26,810) in compensation for the loss, and vowed to get the missing items back to the star in time for her friend's birthday.
A source told The Sun: "Kate's assistant spent all day on the phone trying to find it. Kate is livid that it is still missing."
She also lost US$6,000 (S$8,100) worth of prototypes for her fashion range for British fashion giant Topshop, which were also contained in the missing luggage.
Thousands of passengers have been left bagless and out of pocket after problems with the new baggage-handling system at the new terminal caused major disruption earlier this month.
