Mon, Apr 28, 2008
The Nation, ANN
>An art gallery built by the city administration will open to the public in July, Bangkok governor Apirak Kosayodhin said Friday.

An "Art Market" for paintings and drawings will be held at Arts and Cultures Gallery in late June before its inauguration in July with an exhibition featuring foreign art in honour of His Majesty the King.

Apirak says construction of the Bt500million gallery, located near Pathum Wan intersection, is virtually complete. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will run it under management as a charity. Its board will be made up of artists and members of the public.
