KLANG: Businessman K.P. Samy, who was barred by the Immigration Department at the KLIA from leaving the country on Sunday, can now travel freely.

However, the travel agency owner remains baffled over the reason for the Sunday incident at the airport.

"I was made to understand that I was prevented from travelling to India due to a miscommunication between the police and immigration department," said an upset Samy.

Samy said he had gone to the Selangor Immigration Department headquarters in Shah Alam and was told that the order to bar him from leaving the country had come from the police.

"I then went to the Shah Alam district police headquarters and was told to go to Bukit Aman. When I went there, an officer immediately contacted the Immigration Department in Putrajaya," said Samy.

The police officer was told that Samy could leave the country anytime he wanted to.

"So, what gives? What really happened?" asked Samy
