PETALING JAYA, MALAYSIA: Thirty members of the Section 10 Kota Damansara residents association, who lost their way inside the Botanical Park forest here yesterday, were found safe early today.

Petaling Jaya OCPD ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed said all of them, including several children, were found at 2.10am.

The group was part of an expedition held in conjunction with the Earth Day.

"They went into the jungle in two groups about 5pm. The first group of nine people completed the expedition at 9pm. However the second one, comprising 30 people, was nowhere to be seen even after 10pm," he told reporters at the scene today.

He said the police received phone calls about the incident at 10.15pm and rushed 30 general operation force personnel and a team of police air unit to search for the group.

They were found four hours later, he said.

"None of them injured," he said, adding that the group lost their their way in the darkness due to lack of preparation.
