Alcoholic drinks seized in Perhentian

>BESUT, MALAYSIA: A three-day operation by the Besut District Council saw the seizure of 261 bottles of alcoholic drinks and 1,392 beer cans at a resort in Perhentian Island on Wednesday.

Ten musical instruments were also confiscated during the blitz that involved nine council enforcement officers and three policemen.

Council president Wan Harujan Sulaiman said the alcoholic drinks were seized from nine premises after the operators were found to have violated their licences.
