Going to China? Get in line for visa
>THIS was the queue that was spotted outside the Chinese Embassy by a Stomp contributor recently.

The contributor e-mailed the citizen media website and said: "A queue like this will take at least 90 minutes (for applicants) to reach the counter to get the queue number."

Starting from last Tuesday, Singaporeans need a valid visa to enter China.

But The Straits Times had reported in April that the requirement is only temporary, according to the China Embassy website.

"Some people could not submit the application and had to come back to queue again the next day because they did not have the necessary documents other than their passport, which are confirmed two-way air tickets and confirmed hotel reservation.

"(The) best (thing to do) is to download the form from the Embassy's website and get all documents ready before you go there. And take along an umbrella," the contributor added.
