Visitors allowed to film and take photos at airport
Mon, Jul 07, 2008
my paper
>WE REFER to the report in Ground Zero, "Is filming of video at T2 allowed"? (my paper, July 3).

The police do not prohibit photography or video-filming in the terminal buildings, including restricted areas such as the departure, transit or baggage-claim areas.

Given the nature of airports, there will be many who are keen to video-record or photograph special moments in their visits.

Nevertheless, there are security measures in place to monitor activities in terminal buildings.

Officers will first assess whether the photography or filming is suspicious or unusual before taking appropriate action.

We thank the contributor for his vigilance and would also like to invite him to contact our head of service quality of the Airport Police Division at 6546-3151 to share any other information or feedback on the matter.
