Works of art inside and out
>THE facade of the National Museum was transformed into a visual feast last night at a press preview for the latest attraction of Singapore's inaugural Night Festival.

Ten colourful designs will envelop the walls of the National Museum and Singapore Art Museum on Friday and Saturday, in a light installation by Sydney-based lighting effects company, The Electric Canvas, which specialises in large-scale light projections on buildings.

The designs will transform both museums into elaborate works of art.

The eye-catching designs are produced by seven projectors at the National Museum and three at the Art Museum. The illumination changes every three minutes and runs from 9pm until 2am on Friday and Saturday.

In conjunction with the Night Festival, admission to The Asian Civilisations Museum, Art Museum, Peranakan Museum, Philatelic Museum and National Museum is free on Friday, from 6pm to 2am.

The museums' inaugural Night Festival began last weekend and ends this Saturday.
