THOSE who buy Qantas or British Airways airfares to Australia from participating travel agents at the Natas fair from Friday to Sunday at the Singapore Expo will enjoy special land packages from $348, which include airport transfers, hotel stay and tours.

They cover Tasmania, Adelaide, Melbourne, Queensland (Cairns and the Gold Coast), Canberra, Sydney, Perth and the Northern Territory (Ayers Rock and Alice Springs).

For an extra $100, those who book between Friday and Tuesday will enjoy free internal stopover flights or three-day car hire, including a one-night hotel stay or tour option.

ECO-FRIENDLY vacations just got cheaper with room rates slashed at five eco-style resorts on accommodation website Wotif.com

A room for two with breakfast at Ayers Rock's Sails In The Desert Hotel in Australia is A$380 (S$494), down 30 per cent. Or stay at Bali's Waka Shorea for US$140 (S$191) a night, inclusive of breakfast, afternoon tea, boat transport and a Balinese massage.

Double rooms at Tokyo's Chisun Grand Akasakan hotel are cheaper by 30 per cent at 12,700 yen (S$79) a night. Down, too, are double rooms at Christchurch's Hotel So in New Zealand - the sale rate is NZ$99 (S$100) a night, at 20 per cent off.

And at Koh Lanta's Langham Place Eco Resort & Spa in Thailand, seaview twin rooms with breakfast are going for 3900 baht (S$159) a night. You save more than 60 per cent.
