NPC holds treasure hunt for heritage

Take part in the National Press Club-Celcom Media Treasure Hunt to be held in George Town on Aug 23.

With the slogan "The Hunt for Heritage" and the theme "Jom Melancong", the competition aims to attract 400 participants from the media and the public.

NPC president Mokhtar Hussain said George Town was chosen to give a boost to its new status and to give participants an opportunity to know it better.

Celcom (Malaysia) Bhd corporate communications vice-president Datuk Najmuddin Abdullah said the partnership was part of the company's corporate social responsibility in assisting authorities develop the tourism industry.
This is the second year that Celcom is working with the NPC on the treasure hunt.

Cash and other prizes are up for grabs in the media and open categories. Entry fees in each category are RM170 and RM200 respectively per participant. Early bird discounts will be given to entries submitted on or before 8pm on Aug 8. The closing date for submission is Aug 15.
