Private life of ex-SIA poster girl revealed in suit

She was the face of Singapore Airlines' (SIA) advertising campaign back in 1976.

Now, the private life of Ms Lim Bee Bee, who died last year of kidney failure, has been revealed in a lawsuit with elements of her love for a philandering husband, a nephew's greed, and a romance which sparked late in her life.

When Ms Lim died in January last year, two weeks shy of her 52nd birthday, everything she owned was left to the two most important men in her life at that time.

To her favourite nephew, Mr Kelvin Lim Chen Yeow, she left her thriving salon business and properties worth about $1 million.

Her boyfriend, Mr Goh Chin Peng, was legally entitled to A$273,069 (S$345,731) that Ms Lim held in a joint account with him, reported The Straits Times.

Mr Lim, was reportedly discontent with his inheritance and took Mr Goh to court to try and claim back the money in the bank, continued the report.

However, Justice Chan Seng Onn threw out the 34-year-old's claim and ruled that Mr Goh could keep the money as he was convinced that she had intended to leave it to him.

He also rapped Mr Lim for being "simply too greedy".
