Parkroyal Hotel gives out freebies to S'pore taxi drivers

SINGAPORE - In true hospitality style, Parkroyal Hotels & Resorts served tea and gave away free mooncakes to Singapore taxi drivers.

Tea masters from Si Chuan Dou Hua restaurants – managed by Parkroyal Hotels & Resorts - served their signature Eight Treasures Tea from a traditional teapot with a one metre long spout.

Each taxi driver also received a ‘no-pork, no-lard’ White Lotus Paste Single Yolk mooncake gift.

The serving took place at Parkroyal on Beach Road and Parkroyal on Kitchener Road on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.

Through these two mooncake giveaway activities, Parkroyal Hotels & Resorts said it aims to raise further awareness of Parkroyal on Beach Road (formerly known as Plaza Hotel) and Parkroyal on Kitchener Road (formerly known as New Park Hotel) amongst taxi drivers.

Said Ms Christina Chua, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Parkroyal Hotels & Resorts: “Taxi drivers have long been regarded as Singapore’s destination transport ambassadors. This campaign is an ideal platform for our hotels to forge a long standing partnership with Singapore taxi drivers as they are a key link to the local community and visitors from overseas”.

The two-day giveaway also marks the start of a month long sale of mooncakes at Tian Fu Teahouse and Si Chuan Dou Hua restaurants for Mid-Autumn festivities.
