Fuel levy won't be cut yet
Sun, Sep 14, 2008
The Straits Times

AIR travellers cheered by Singapore Airlines' decision to cut fuel surcharges last week, should not hold out for an across-the-industry reduction.

Other than Thai Airways International which may reduce its charges before the month end, many other airlines are not about to follow suit.

Last Monday, the Singapore carrier said it would cut, with immediate effect, round-trip ticket prices by up US$20 (S$29) for short and medium-haul flights.
