>KUCHING, MALAYSIA - A sales executive was acquitted by the Sessions Court yesterday on a charge of giving false information to a Malaysia Airlines security officer that he was carrying a bomb on board an aircraft.

Judge Alwi Abdul Wahab ruled that Lim Yew Liong, 27, had raised a reasonable doubt against the prosecution's case.

He said security officer Yusmaniza Zainal Abidin could have mistakenly heard the word "ball" uttered by Lim for "bomb".

Lim was charged with committing the offence at the departure area of Kuching International Airport at 3pm on May 19 last year.
