KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA: Datin Seri Jeanne Abdullah is big on bats, especially those at the Mulu Caves in Sarawak.

Launching the "Zoom! Malaysia Travel Fair" at the One Utama shopping mall, Jeanne spoke in awe of the creatures and the caves.

"The Mulu Caves are so big that you can park seven Boeing 747 airplanes in them. When the sun sets, millions of bats fly out and the sight is just unforgettable."

Stressing that that local holidays were no less enjoyable than foreign trips, she said parents should take their children to the countryside which offered unique sights and experiences.

Jeanne also spoke of the beauty of Malaysian mountains, beaches and jungles.

"The flora and fauna in our tropical rainforests are national treasures and are valuable assets as tourist attractions."
