Utusan Malaysia reported that KTM Berhad is offering RM1(S$0.42) tickets for a single trip on the Kuala Lumpur-Ipoh route.

The month-long promotion took effect on Monday and is only applicable for the 5am and 9pm daily rail service.

KTMB marketing manager Mohd Noordin Kimi said the promotion is limited to 400 tickets for the economy class only and must be purchased on the same day of travel.

"Although it has only been a day since we started the promotion, the response has been overwhelming," he said.
