RETAIL THERAPY IN PHUKET

Award-winning luxury resort Indigo Pearl in Phuket has launched a package which allows you to shop while enjoying accommodation and spa treatments - all at a discounted rate.

Prices start from US$226 (S$330) for a three-day two-night stay, available now until Oct 31.

Guests will receive the Indigo Pearl Discount Card upon arrival, together with a booklet listing retail partner outlets and discounts (up to 30 per cent) available, plus a map showing their locations.

Explore Phuket's large collection of quaint shop houses selling a wide variety of items such as high-quality art, clothing, jewellery, home decorations, fine furniture, antiques and handicrafts. Private transportation is included.

Prices include roundtrip airport transfers, accommodation with breakfast and 20 per cent discounts on Indigo Pearl's spa treatments, spa products and at The Stockroom, featuring Thai antiques and silk as well as custom-made artwork, china and glassware.

FAIRMONT GOES TO THE DOGS

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts offer a distinctive service at select hotels with resident hotel dogs known as Canine Ambassadors.

Travellers missing their own furry friend or looking for a walking companion can take along the resident Fairmont dog for extra security and the comfort of home.

Among the four-legged hotel additions is Golden Labrador Gracie, who joins the staff at the Fairmont Tremblant in Quebec, Canada. She meets and greets guests and is available for scheduled walks and runs.

Catch the famous Spanish Running of the Bulls festival in the city of Pamplona.

Regarded as one of Europe's most spectacular events, it is a festival where daredevils try to outrun galloping bulls on the cobbled streets.
