IF you're about to split up with your spouse, this Chinese travel agency hopes it can help you make it a smooth break-up.

The agency in Harbin, in the Heilongjiang province, is offering tours designed for couples who are on the verge of splitting up.

'If it's destiny for us to break up, then let's have more romantic memories than painful ones,' touts the ad.

Couples pay 15,180 yuan (S$3,200) for a five-day tour of Hainan Island.

The agency claims it has already received bookings from many quarrelling couples - and hopes the breaks could persuade some to reconsider.
