In a press statement released this afternoon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised Singaporeans who are travelling to Indonesia to exercise viligance and register their intention to travel online.

It said that Singaporeans who are unable to avoid travelling to Jakarta and other parts of Indonesia are advised to exercise vigilance and monitor developments at their intended destinations through the local news.

They should also take all necessary precautions to ensure their personal safety.

Singaporeans who travel to Indonesia should register with MFA through its website www.mfa.gov.sg so that it can contact and assist them in case of an emergency.
