FIRST things first - there are no screaming kids or pot-bellied old men lounging by the poolside here.
Just hot hunks and funky women searching for their little piece of heaven.
Contiki Resort Bali has affordable and comfortable lodgings, plus an army of personnel on hand to plan your ideal itinerary.
Forget the hassle of time-management, ladies. Just go with the flow.
Here's the catch - you have to be between the ages of 18 and 35.
The folks at Contiki are going with the oh-so-hip holiday concept for the young at this, their latest resort in Bali.
They just opened it last September despite the fall in visitors to Bali in the wake of the infamous bombings of 2002 and 2005.
Located at Seminyak, the resort is a 10-minute ride by taxi, or a 30-minute walk to nearby Kuta beach. There is also a free shuttle provided by the resort.
It's quieter now, compared to pre-bomb times, according to local taxi-drivers and shop-owners.
The upside to this is you do not have to jostle with crowds. In fact, just walk into any shop, and you're likely to be the only customer there.
The downside may be a little less obvious. Prices at souvenir shops that ply the roads on both sides are not that competitive. Bargaining is a must.
Party-animals do not need to worry about boringly quiet night spots, though. There are still a couple of places you can go to have some good clean fun.
Try Mbargo at Jl Legian Kuta - but remember, the prices are quite similar to those at home. But the good thing is most places waive the cover charge for foreigners.
Try to drop by the uber cool hang-out Ku De Ta at Jl Oberoi Seminyak, too. Best seats are those overlooking the beach. Come at 7pm and feast your eyes on the amazing sunset while sipping your cocktail.
There is a small exit with a footpath to the beach itself. Just beware that if you are planning on an idyllic stroll, chances are, you will be accosted by touts every step of the way, wanting to sell you stick-on tattoos and other touristy merchandise.
Between the shopping and clubbing, you may almost forget that you are really on one of the most beautiful islands of Indonesia.
SLEEPY VILLAGE
Visit the sleepy fishing villages of Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan, and then take a dip at the beach club where you can take a shower. Bring your swimming gear and sunblock, because it is literally all sun and sea.
The best time to visit Bali is in the months of June through to December.
Now, Contiki is offering a to-die-for-deal, a four-day-three-night package at US$110 ($175) a person. It includes a pool-view room with daily brunch and dinner. The offer is valid until 30 Nov.
Go to www.contiki.com for details or call 6337 8166 during office hours (9am to 6pm Mon - Fri) for booking enquiries.
