THEIR weekdays are virtually taken up. And now, they are keen on selling weekends in a big way which will appeal to the leisure crowd as the rates are affordable.

The hotel weekend package is a bargain.

"Unlike most city hotels, we are busiest on weekdays. Weekends are rather slow for us but with the special weekend package, it looks like weekends are going to be busy too," says its assistant public relations manager Lydia Mae Hendroff.

"We are hoping more people will stay with us on weekends and school holidays. On weekdays, we get the meetings, incentives, corporate and exhibition crowd who are here till Fridays and then, on Saturdays and Sundays, we look forward to having the leisure travellers."

The five-star hotel has undergone renovations in stages with the management spending some RM15m on a new ballroom that will be an extension to the existing one.

"Our biggest selling point is the spacious, two-acre lobby and the golf course. We are surrounded by greenery and guests like that," she says.

The Palm Garden Golf Club 27-hole championship golf course next door, with an option of day or night golfing. Other attractions in Putrajaya is only a short drive away.
