The farm is home to some 1,888 koi fishes and, according to people who own the place, a good way to de-stress is watching the fish in the pond and also feeding them.
If you are in a playful mood, you can dip your hands in the pond and let the fishes nibble on your fingers or palms, which can be a tickling experience.
Many visitors there are initially hesitant to dip their hands into the pond but after gentle coaxing from the staff there, many have tried and gone home completely happy with their 'daring feat'.
Children and adults, who come from as far as Singapore, often make numerous trips to the 40ha farm to check out the koi fish pond, sample the many types of fruits there and also play at the petting zoo which houses many animals, including ostriches, peacocks, turkey, wild fowls, rabbits and goats.
The Desaru Fruit Farm offers several packages, including education programmes for schoolchildren.
Of course, no trip will be complete without eating fresh fruits at the farm.
Entrance fee to the farm is RM15 (adult) and RM10 (child).
