Science Centre charges affordable
To get the best out of every penny, sign up for packages at the Singapore Science Centre. -ST
I REFER to the articles, 'Attractions too pricey for families' and 'A costly affair', on Monday by Mr Daryl Tan. The Science Centre Singapore is happy that we were ranked the least expensive among the major attractions in Singapore, and would also like to highlight that excluding the meals and Omnitheatre Imax movies, the cost of admission to the Science Centre for a family of four is a mere $18, an average of $4.50 per person. We also offer a special 20per cent discount for a combined ticket to the Science Centre and Omnitheatre, so the actual cost for entry for a family of four, with two children (aged three to 12) would cost $33.60. For this, we offer a full-day experience with over 1,000 interactive exhibits, together with science performances. For this month, we have added two blockbuster exhibitions - Water H20=Life and Climate Change - at no extra charge. The centre also has family membership packages, which offer unlimited visits for a minimal annual fee of $50 for entrance into the Science Centre, and $128 for entrance into the centre and Omnitheatre. We also have ongoing collaborations with many institutions, and their members and corporate staff can enter the centre at a discounted rate. The Science Centre, supported by the Ministry of Education, offers Singaporeans an enriching experience in science at a rate affordable to all. Koh Shu Ching (Ms) |
