PETALING JAYA: AirAsia will mount more rescue flights from Thailand's U-Tapao Royal Thai Navy Airfield until Thursday to ferry stranded travellers back to Kuala Lumpur. In a statement, the low-cost carrier announced that there would be one return flight from Bangkok (U-Tapao) to Kuala Lumpur and one from Phuket to Kuala Lumpur return flight today. Guests arriving at U-Tapao will be transported by bus to Suan Lum Night Bazaar in central Bangkok free of charge. Meanwhile, guests flying back to Kuala Lumpur will be provided complimentary bus pick-up to U-Tapao from BITEC (Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre) in Bangna, Bangkok. Guests were advised to assemble at BITEC for check-in as U-Tapao did not have the facilities to perform check-in procedures for guests.
