IF THE ongoing flu pandemic and economic recession has got you stuck in a rut at home, consider making a trip to the Singapore River Festival which unveils itself this Friday.
There's literally something for everyone, tourist and local alike, at the festival which runs from June 19 to June 27.
Whether you're a flamboyant party animal, a foodie, an art aficionado, or a parent looking for family fun for the kids, the River Festival has something in store for you.
The festivities will take place along the river - at Clarke Quay, Central, Empress Place, Robertson Quay and Boat Quay.
Besides the scenic locations, this particular "staycation" doesn't burn a hole in your pockets! Most events don't even cost a cent.
In conjunction with the Great Singapore Sale, visitors can also expect irresistable one-for-one festival treats and great deals at nearby dining establishments.
