Not told that Jetstar fare included insurance

Hidden insurance charge makes airfare more expensive. -myp

IN APRIL, I made an advance booking for a return flight for two to Taipei in December.

Recently, I checked the prices and found out that the fares for flights on the same dates were $68 cheaper.

I called Jetstar and was informed that my fares were higher because a fee of $34 for insurance per passenger was included in my booking.

This was not my first time booking with Jetstar and I am sure I did not purchase insurance while booking my ticket.

I usually purchase insurance separately and I also did not receive any insurance-policy documents.

I called Jetstar twice and was told to call insurance company AIG.

I called AIG and was told that they could not help me as I did not have a policy number.

Can Jetstar explain why I have to pay more for a trip that I am yet to make?
